Heavenly Father, we come before you with open hearts and eager minds, ready to delve into your Word. We thank you for the gift of your Holy Scriptures, a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path (Psalm 119:105).
We ask for your Holy Spirit to guide us as we study, to open our understanding and reveal the truths hidden within these ancient texts. Help us to see beyond the words and into the heart of your message.
We pray for a spirit of humility, that we may approach your Word with reverence and a willingness to learn. May we be open to your correction and guidance, and may we be transformed by the power of your Word.
We pray for unity among us, that we may learn from one another and grow in our faith together. May our hearts be filled with love and compassion as we study your Word.
