A Single Mother’s Prayer

“Heavenly Father, I come before You as a single mother, seeking Your strength, guidance, and provision in these challenging times. Lord, I acknowledge that You are a loving and compassionate God who sees and understands my struggles. I lift up my prayers to You, knowing that You are always with me.

Father, I thank You for the gift of motherhood and for the precious children You have entrusted to my care. Help me to be the best mother I can be, to love and nurture my children with patience, wisdom, and grace. Grant me the strength to meet their needs and to provide a stable and loving home for them.

Lord, I pray for Your provision in every aspect of our lives. Help me to manage our finances wisely and to meet our daily needs. Provide opportunities for me to work and support my family, or guide me to resources and assistance that can help us in times of need.

I ask for Your guidance and wisdom in making decisions for my children. Help me to raise them in a way that honors You and instills in them a love for You and others. Give me the discernment to know how to discipline them with love and to teach them values that will guide them throughout their lives.

Father, I pray for strength and resilience in the face of challenges. Help me to persevere when I feel overwhelmed or discouraged. Remind me that I am not alone, that You are always by my side, ready to comfort and strengthen me.

Lord, I surrender my fears, worries, and anxieties to You. Fill my heart with peace and assurance that You are in control. Help me to trust in Your plan for me and my children, even when it is difficult to see the way forward.

I pray for a supportive community around me, for friends, family, and mentors who can offer encouragement, assistance, and guidance. Surround us with people who can walk alongside us on this journey and provide the support we need.

Father, I thank You for Your faithfulness and for the promises in Your Word. Help me to cling to those promises and to find hope and comfort in them. Remind me that You are a Father to the fatherless and a defender of the widow (Psalm 68:5), and that You will never leave us nor forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:6).

In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.”
