Gracious Father, I come before you with a prayer for personal holiness. Your Word teaches us the importance of living a holy and righteous life, and I desire to grow in holiness according to your will.
Lord, I acknowledge that personal holiness is not an easy journey, but I believe it is your will for each of your children. I surrender myself to you and ask that your will be done in my life. Give me the desire and grace to become a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to you (Romans 12:1).
I confess that I am incapable of living a holy life on my own. I humbly ask you, Lord, to teach me to be holy and show me how you would have me live. Help me to be led by your Holy Spirit and to walk in spirit and truth (John 4:24). I want to live a godly life and develop personal holiness.
Search my heart, Lord, and reveal any cherished sin lurking within me. I ask that you would search it out and destroy it, for I know that true holiness requires purity of heart (Psalm 139:23-24). Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me (Psalm 51:10).
I commit to making your Word the foundation of my life. Help me to strive to do what it says and to flee from all that it forbids. Guide me in living a life that is set apart for you, worthy of your name and pleasing to you (1 Peter 1:14-16).
Lord, I pray for the discipline and diligence to pursue personal holiness. Help me to prioritize daily Scripture reading, prayer, worship, and fellowship with other believers. May I be vigilant in guarding my thoughts, words, and actions, and may I submit to your transforming work in my life (Romans 12:2).
I ask for your forgiveness and cleansing when I fall short of your standard of holiness. Thank you for the gift of your grace and mercy, which enables me to pursue holiness with confidence. Help me to rely on your strength and to trust in your power to sanctify me (1 John 1:9).
Lord, I desire to be a vessel of your love and light in this world. Use me for your purposes and help me to reflect your holiness to those around me. May my life be a testimony of your transforming power and grace.
