A Prayer For My Spouse With Bible References

Heavenly Father, I come before you with a prayer for my spouse. I lift up their needs, desires, and well-being to you, knowing that you are the source of all wisdom, strength, and love. Your Word provides guidance and encouragement for praying over our spouses, and I seek to align my prayers with your will.

Lord, I pray for my spouse’s spiritual growth and relationship with you. Help them to draw closer to you each day, seeking your guidance and wisdom in all areas of their life (James 4:8). May they have a deep and intimate walk with you, experiencing your presence and grace (Psalm 63:1-4).

I ask for your protection over my spouse, both physically and spiritually. Guard them from harm, temptation, and the schemes of the enemy (Psalm 91:9-11). Surround them with your angels and cover them with your peace (Philippians 4:7).

Father, I pray for my spouse’s emotional well-being. Comfort them in times of sorrow, anxiety, or stress (Psalm 34:17-18). Fill their heart with joy and peace that surpasses all understanding (Romans 15:13). Help them to cast their cares upon you, knowing that you care for them (1 Peter 5:7).

Lord, I lift up my spouse’s physical health to you. Strengthen their body, renew their energy, and grant them good health (Psalm 103:2-5). I pray for healing and restoration in any areas of their body that may be experiencing pain or illness (Jeremiah 30:17).

I ask for wisdom and discernment for my spouse in their daily decisions and responsibilities. Guide them in their work, relationships, and all areas of life (Proverbs 3:5-6). Help them to prioritize their time and focus on what truly matters (Matthew 6:33).

Father, I pray for the growth and deepening of our marital relationship. Help us to love and cherish one another, to communicate with kindness and understanding, and to support and encourage each other (Ephesians 4:2-3). May our marriage be a reflection of your love and grace.

Lord, I pray for unity and harmony in our marriage. Help us to resolve conflicts with humility, forgiveness, and grace (Colossians 3:13-14). Teach us to serve one another selflessly, putting each other’s needs above our own (Philippians 2:3-4).

Thank you, Lord, for the gift of my spouse. I commit to praying for them daily, seeking your will for their life and our marriage. May our relationship be a testimony of your love and faithfulness.

In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
